Way back in 2019, my novella was acquired and published by a tough little indie press called Wild Dreams. During the global plague of 2020, they sadly went out of business. All their book rights reverted back to us authors.
I'm finally re-releasing the book on my own. It's a tight thriller with some elements of shock and horror. I've previously described it as Our Town meets Child of God.
It’s 1983 in the sleepy town of Anson's Creek, and a little girl has vanished from the park in broad daylight. Sheriff Ben Ramsay, a troubled man with a secret obsession, will do whatever it takes to find her.
But when the sheriff's department receives a letter from the Happy Man, a serial killer with scores of horrific murders under his belt, Alison's case takes a darker turn. Ben's ultimate discovery about what really happened will lead him to the precipice of the abyss.
